My name is Emma. I'm a 22-year-old Philadelphia native with a pretty extensive sense of adventure. My family is from England so I am lucky to say that I got to travel quite a bit while growing up. While those family reunion trips to Europe did serve as a nice introduction, it wasn’t until my first solo trip that I truly fell in love with travel. When I was 18, I decided to take a gap year before going to college. During that year I went on three long volunteer trips to Madagascar, Nepal, and Peru. What made these trips so special was that this type of travel was no longer about tourism - it was about immersion, service, and learning. So anyway, I kinda went full nomad for that year and ever since I haven’t really been able to readjust to a lifestyle situated in just one place. But being my venturesome self, I have found myself in quite a few situations that have left me with a number of stories to tell. That is why I have decided to start this blog.
I love to write. I have been keeping a journal since I was 15 and everything I put on this page has come from my journals. But beyond writing I also love music, running, photography, sailing, skiing, the color green, and anything with coffee in it.
If anything, I hope some of this inspires you to go on an adventure. Quit your job, take a semester off school, move someplace new. Whatever. Just get out and see some things. I’ve provided resources that have helped me in the past but if you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out.
