Travel resources that helped me (and can help you too!)

Here are some of my favorite websites for solo travelers. These sites and blogs provide the best advice and itineraries to ensure you have the best time.

If you're young and traveling alone or with a few friends STAY IN HOSTELS. They are so fun, so cheap, and the easiest way to meet people. Sometimes they cost as little as 5 bucks a night... including free breakfast. 

Another great way to travel is to go on a volunteer trip. It's highly affordable and you leave feeling unbelievably fulfilled. Also, many volunteer programs will place you in a homestay which is a great way to truly immerse yourself in a new culture and find people who feel like family.

But if you chose to travel with a program, go with a British company (they're cheaper!)
